Today the children were visited by Paul Amundson, Task Force Leader with the Wildland Team from the City of Westminster Fire Department. What an amazing job he did teaching the children the difference between toys and tools, what items were safe to play with, and which items were unsafe for children. They learned the importance of having an escape plan in the event of a fire. The children practiced staying low to the ground in a smoke-filled room, and never to hide from a firefighter. The children’s eyes were glued to Firefighter Paul as he put his uniform on in front of the children!

The Preschool will be closed beginning Friday, March 24th through Friday, March 31st for Spring Break.  Children and staff return on Monday, April 3rd.  Have a wonderful Spring Break. Thursday, March 23rd – After Care ends at 4:00pm Hot Lunch will resume on Monday, April 3rd. The Preschool children’s art work will be displayed at Red Rocks Community College beginning April 17th through April 29th. RMAE Middle School students worked with our JrK students last Wednesday as they made their valentines bags.  It was such a fun time.  It is delightful to observe how wonderful these two age groups work together.  The love and the innocence shared between these children is priceless.  The JrK children look up to, admire and respect their older friends.  Wednesday can’t arrive quickly enough for everyone.  We love when our middle school friends come down!  Thanks for sharing your kids with us! Welcome Back to School! Everyone is having such a wonderful time being back at school.  The classrooms are bustling with energy and excitement.  A new student joined Mrs. Park’s class today, and the children are so excited about their new friend.  On Monday and Tuesday, the children in Mrs. Park’s class learned about winter, snow and ice, how to make a snowman, and made their own little snow people.  They picked a circle for each letter in their name, and identified as many letters as they could to make their paper snowman.  They had fun playing in snow, and melted ice with salt and addedRead More →
