Elysa Meineke – Administrative Assistant & Classroom Teacher

Hello! I’m Ms. Elysa, the new Administrative Assistant here at The Learning Center. I’m a proud Colorado native and have called Indian Hills home since 2020, where I live with my husband and our three wonderful children – Aynsley, Ryker, and Karsyn.

With over 18 years of experience in office administration, my journey into early childhood education began when I became a nanny for several families after having children of my own. That hands-on experience, combined with a growing appreciation for child development, sparked a lasting passion for working with young children and their families.

Once my own children reached school age, I found the perfect opportunity to blend my love for children with my administrative skills. I spent seven years as an Administrative Assistant at a school in Lakewood that served students from early learners through middle school. That role gave me valuable insight into both education and family support.

Now, I’m thrilled to be part of the TLC team—as both an administrative assistant and a classroom teacher. I truly enjoy supporting behind-the-scenes operations while staying connected to the heart of it all: the kids!

I can’t wait to meet you and your family, and I’m excited for all the wonderful things we’ll experience together here at TLC.

Your staff is amazing! Typically teacher turn-over in early childhood is high. It is obvious to me and my friends that your teachers love coming to work every day! I am also impressed with the qualifications of your staff! Everyone is passionate about working with young children.

Above and Beyond

The Preschool was a home away from home for me. I felt at ease bringing my children everyday to smiling faces and warm embraces. The teachers are amazing! The curriculum is on task with what preschoolers should be learning and the teachers made learning fun, instead of being a “chore.” All of the teachers AND the Director went above and beyond to make each child feel special, loved and treasured. Each teacher knows just how to motivate the children and encourages them to do their best. In addition, there were projects outside of school to instill in the children how to become a helpful part of society. What a wonderful school with a terrific staff. From the holiday programs to the projects in class, I’d recommend this program to anyone who has the opportunity to attend a preschool.
