Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day

2_valentinebagRMAE Middle School students worked with our JrK students last Wednesday as they made their valentines bags.  It was such a fun time.  It is delightful to observe how wonderful these two age groups work together.  The love and the innocence shared between these children is priceless.  The JrK children look up to, admire and respect their older friends.  Wednesday can’t arrive quickly enough for everyone.  We love when our middle school friends come down!  Thanks for sharing your kids with us!

Thanks also to all the wonderful parents who helped with our Valentines Day celebration yesterday.   The children enjoyed yummy lunch, played games and danced, made a windsock, painted and made valentines, and so much more.  A special thank you to:  Betsy Hoffman, Christy Schoonover, Derek Rowland, Sarah Moss, Andrea Wardell, Michelle Kustes and Tiffany Fontaine for spending the morning with us!    We couldn’t have done it all without you.

“Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away.  Love is something if you give it away, you end up having more.  It’s just like a magic penny, hold it tight and you won’t have any.  Lend it, spend it, and you’ll have so many, they’ll roll all over the floor.  So, love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away.  Love is something if you give it away.  You end up having more!”

These are the words to a song I learned years ago when I taught in a church’s after-school program.  We taught the words to your children last week.  When I asked, ” What do you think these words mean?”  You would have been very proud of your children’s responses.  They knew exactly what the words meant and were able to give examples!
